Accuracy

So the other day I got thinking, "what if all my test subjects
were the same age for the gender experiment?"
I'm guessing it will make the
results more accurate but it'll also be harder to do, what do you think?
Should I go find 15 males and females aged 15/16 or just leave it how it was?

  1. 30 people is a MINIMUM. A few things:
    1. Removing your hand from something hot is certainly NOT a reflex action. The motion is in fact controlled by the hyperthalamus (yes, I know in a lot of textbooks it says that it is, but they are wrong). Have a look at some reflex actions to do with facial nerves and deep tendon reflexes and hopefully that will help you.
    2. Keep it simple. You can look at reaction time as oppose to reflex too- reflexes often happen in too short of a time for you to actually time without errors of YOUR reaction time.
    3. Consider doing at least 3 repeat trials for any single person.
